As a coach, it’s all about my clients’ agenda. On this page, however, this is all about what I want and like! Check out the links to these favorites of mine, and send me a message or post a comment below if you’re feeling this list!
Favorite fried clams: Clam Box, Ipswich, MA–you must split the fisherman’s platter with you favorite seafood lover.
Favorite song about Clam Box: Caixa dos Moluscos by Weisstronauts. It sounds best played loudly in the car going 30 mph with the windows down on a warm summer day after visiting the Clam Box.
Favorite basic Indian cookbook: An Indian Housewife’s Recipe Book by Laxmi Khurana–not for the written word-challenged–no fancy pictures, just plain good cooking.
Favorite chef: Jean George Vongerichten–you must try the tasting menu of his signature dishes at Jean George, NYC at least once. Bring your favorite person along for the best sit-down service, ever!
Favorite summer dessert I made up: Wyman’s of Maine’s Frozen Berries in cream (or milk) topped with a spoonful of your favorite yogurt. This is better than ice cream, because you don’t even feel fat or gross afterwards; recipe approved by my husband and daughter.
My daughter’s favorite salad that I made up: Apple-Avocado-Cilantro Salad. Equal parts apple and ripe avocado chunks; as much fresh, chopped cilantro as you like; and mix with aged balsamic vinegar to taste. A little sour, a little richness, a little sweet, a little oak-iness, and cilantro to keep it fresh.
Favorite bagged tea: Yogi’s Super Antioxidant Green Tea. Licorice keeps it tasting slightly sweet for 2 cups without any cream or sugar, and works well on cold and hot days.
Favorite skin products: FAB’s Face Cleanser and Ultra Repair Cream. Found them after decades of searching for something that would care for my super-sensitive skin, keep me clean, and not be smelly. They’re priced very reasonably compared to some of the “systems” out there!
Favorite Boston tourist website: BostonDiscoveryGuide. Not just for out-of-towners, but also has a few tips for locals.
Favorite place to browse: Cambridge Public Library, Main Branch. It’s comfortable, beautiful and free. Function and form. I love it!
Favorite place to play music: Sally O’Brien’s in Somerville, MA. The audience is always ready to get up and dance, even when they’re not drunk.
Okay, back to food.
Favorite taco: Olecito‘s Baja (shrimp) taco, with spicy mayo sauce.
Favorite BBQ: Actually, I have a few favorites, so you’ll have to ask me.
