Get to Re-Know You

Happy spring, everyone!

Here is something to stir you and your partner up and get out of the winter doldrums: Talk about what may be hidden in your memory bank about shared experiences, what you’ve been thinking about but haven’t said to each other, and even what you haven’t given time to think about but would be fun to share. partnered with author, Keith Ferrazzi, to put together the “Greenlight Dining Guide for Dining with a Significant Other.”

At the very least these simple suggestions will prompt you to have interesting conversations, and are likely to strengthen the bond you already have with each other.

Sweet and excellent points. My wife and I do this all the time except we have 2 little twin boys joining in. (Forget about the dining out part…unless it's McDonalds!) We do this at dinner, while cleaning up afterwards, while cleaning up after the boys, etc. It still works.

You bring up an excellent point that it's better to express curiosity about and care for each other in the day-to-day rather than only on special occasions. Not only do you and your wife continue to deepen your relationship, you are modeling for your boys that being a couple isn't simply about getting tasks done, but also sharing your thoughts and learning about (and from) each other. Besides, isn't that what makes being in a relationship fun?
